Over the years i initially used the analog spring reverb as provided in peavey and evans amplifiers, then later added the boss dd3 digital delay pedal, much later i went with a profex2 for reverb & delay and currently use the lexicon mpx1 for both effects.

I assume reverb and delay, but anything else Are there effects pedals made specifically for pedal steel that you find useful Do you use the stereo split on your volume pedal with to have different signal paths for different effects, or to play through two amps at once 29 dec 2015 3:15 pm location

Reverb tank repair by larry hobson » 10 nov 2021 6:29 pm randy, speaking just from me, other than checking for loose connection, forget repairs.replace the unit The small wire in the transformer ,if broken ,seems to be impossible to resolder When i attempted to resolder a broken connection ,wire is so thin it burns up before accepting solder. A good pedal steel sound needs an exceptionally good reverb on it when called for, especially in the upper registers

Check and make sure the reverb springs are clean Some of the older tanks had some foam weather stripping above the springs to help dampen external vibrations Often the foam rubber would rot and fall into the springs best bet then is a new reverb tank.
